Affordable Australian brands you need to know to complete your space!

I have always been a huge fan of homewares. From candles to glassware I have been collecting items for the day I move out for years. Fitting it all into a room that only fits a single bed has been a struggle, but now that we have been renovating our first home I am more into home wares than ever before and finding a bargain (which I didn't think was possible, because I was obsessed already).

Those who have renovated before know it can be quite hard sticking to a budget and then to fit out a home after renovating can be difficult. Especially when sticking to a tight budget but also wanting to make your home look inviting and beautiful.

The industry is filled with lots of local talent. Support Australian brands and add something special to your home. We are so lucky that Australia has some of the most stylish, creative and amazing talent going around.

Below are my favourite Australian brands which are affordable and gorgeous to make any home complete. Whether you are looking for neutrals or a pop of colour these brands will help make any space complete from smaller pieces to statement big pieces.

Casaluma

Casaluma is an Instagram based brand that takes something old, antique and beautiful and resells it to a new home looking for special unique pieces. It is like an online market where you don't need to go out and look for the pieces yourself, they are conveniently posted on their page. I love that these pieces are being recycled and going to new homes, helping us towards a sustainable future where we repurpose items.

They also share how people have styled the furniture after receiving it which gives me so many ideas on how I want to style my house. Their service is amazing and they are always happy to answer any questions you have. With new drops of furniture all the time at great prices you are bound to find something you love!

il pietra

The day I discovered this Instagram and website was one of the best days of my life! I love stone. Italian stones, travertine, terracotta, terrazzo, just all of them. These pieces are great to place in different rooms with a candle on top, as a prop for photography or to make your office space beautiful. Working from home for a year now has taken its toll and making my space fresh, different and a room I want to enter has made a huge difference. They have different sizes and colours to match any budget and need. They now even have cute cloud coasters.

Not only are they an Australian brand but their main focus and goal is to promote zero waste. By using the off cuts they are producing sustainable gorgeous pieces from the earths rawest form of minerals to produce unique pieces to decorate your home.

Eunoia the label

For those who follow our meyouandproperty Instagram page will know that the minute this brand released their handmade plates and bowl I needed them in my life. I needed it so bad I was one of the first customers to purchase! I am now adding the round and square flat Verano plates to my collection. These gorgeous pieces are so versatile. I will be using my bowl at the front entrance of my house to place my keys and the flat plate in my bathroom with a candle and soap for display and lucky last one will be to enjoy my breakfast. These plates will make everyone question where you got them from.

House of Aeros

I can not go past talking about my obsession with candles. House of Aeros has been a great find, especially with the neutral theme we are going for in our first home. These candles are not designed to be lit. Don't get me wrong, you definitely can light them but I love the smell of them just sitting there. They will be a feature piece in my bathroom and entry. They are affordable statement pieces. These candles are handmade in Melbourne with 8 scents to choose from there is a perfect candle for everyone.

They make the perfect gift (hint hint mothers day is around the corner) or even to add a touch of difference to your rooms. House of Aeros recently released a Vaso Collection (vase collection in jars) and a colour collection. I have three of these candles already and my rooms smell divine without having lit any of them! https://www.houseofaeros.com.au/shop

Friday blooms by Steph

Another Melbourne based brand killing it! I LOVE flowers but I hate that they don't last more than a week in my house. Then the clean up is another thing will petals falling everywhere. Then I discovered the amazing Friday blooms by Steph on Instagram. With a size for any space and colour arrangement, they are great as gifts and even better to add a pop of colour to a space. These flowers last over 12 months if they are looked after, kept out of direct sunlight and heat. They are a great addition to any room. You can move them around and have a different colour in each room making a space feel fresh and new everyday!

La Palm Home

A home is not complete without glassware. La Palm Home is adding a 'touch of paradise' to homes with their palm inspired pieces. I am a huge fan of their glassware especially their ribbed cocktail glasses which I can not wait to get my hands on to enjoy a few cheeky spicy Margherita's. From trinket dishes to drawer knobs, you can make any space a holiday vibe with these little extras. What better time to make your space feel like a holiday then in winter! https://lapalmhome.com.au/

These are a few of my latest finds which I can't wait to share how I have styled them on Instagram through meyouandproperty. They have made shopping for furniture and décor a breeze and within my budget. The small pieces make such a difference in completing a home and I love that they are all Australian brands being represented within our home.

Do you have any Australian brands you love? Share them below! I would love to check them out.
